Dani "Mega" O’Malley plays by her own set of rules - and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the few humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.
Dani’s ex–best friend, MacKayla Lane, wants her dead, the terrifying Unseelie princes have put a price on her head, and Inspector Jayne, the head of the police force, is after her sword and will stop at nothing to get it. What’s more, people are being mysteriously frozen to death all over the city, encased on the spot in sub-zero, icy tableaux.
When Dublin’s most seductive nightclub gets blanketed in hoarfrost, Dani finds herself at the mercy of Ryodan, the club’s ruthless, immortal owner. He needs her quick wit and exceptional skill to figure out what’s freezing Fae and humans dead in their tracks - and Ryodan will do anything to ensure her compliance.
Dodging bullets, fangs, and fists, Dani must strike treacherous bargains and make desperate alliances to save her beloved Dublin - before everything and everyone in it gets iced.

KMM, dude you're the sh#t! Fecking a-maz-ing !
I loved the Mac - chapters of the Fae series, ( I haven't read the highlander series) I enjoyed the Dani in those books but didn't think there was enough character substance in the Dani character to hold my attention through an entire book ... I was SO wrong ! This is a most read ! KMM just gets better and better.
When the 3rd book switched narrators to Natalie Ross, I was very critical (I think switching narrators like that was just hard to get used to ) . In ICED I have to say Natalie R. and Phil G. deserve the Oscar equivalent of audio books award. I hope we don't have to wait a year or more for the next book " BURNED"
good but a little creepy!
overall, i think this series (assuming that's where it's heading) has all the awesome potential of the "mac" series. the story was interesting, and karen set the stage to blow out some additional characters. HOWEVER, i was more than a little creeped out by all of those "men" lusting after a 14 year old girl. if the "romance" picks up, and i hope it does, in the next book, PLEASE let more time pass--so dani will be a little older. otherwise, i'm not sure if i can keep reading. i wish karen would have started this book with dani a few years older. i'm just sayin'.
I can't get enough of Phil Gigante! What's better is that the books are so great! If you haven't read the Highlander Series yet, you have to if you think Phil Gigante has the sexiest voice ever! Did I mention that the Series is great also!? Still love the Mac Series, but prefer the Highlander ones.
