Publisher Description

In the second book in the New York Times bestselling mystery series, Veronica Mars is back with a case that will expose the hidden workings of one of Neptune’s most murderous locations.

The Neptune Grand has always been the seaside town’s ritziest hotel, despite the shady dealings and high-profile scandals that seem to follow its elite guests. When a woman claims that she was brutally assaulted in one of its rooms and left for dead by a staff member, the owners know that they have a potential powder keg on their hands. They turn to Veronica to disprove—or prove—the woman's story.

The case is a complicated mix of hard facts, mysterious occurrences, and uncooperative witnesses. The hotel refuses to turn over its reservation list and the victim won’t divulge who she was meeting that night. Add in the facts that the attack happened months ago, the victim’s memory is fuzzy, and there are holes in the hotel’s surveillance system, and Veronica has a convoluted mess on her hands. As she works to fill in the missing pieces, it becomes clear that someone is lying—but who? And why?

Where is Kristen Bell??

Kristen Bell read the first Veronica Mars audiobook, and the fact that she isn't reading this one is an incredible letdown. No matter what Rebecca Lowman does in reading this book, you can never forget that it isn't Kristen Bell isn't reading the book. It is an impossible task. That said, this book is not as good as the first one. Wallace doesn't even appear until almost halfway through the book, and is barely in it. The story isn't as compelling in this book either. Overall, it was just ok.

Great

This book picked up after the first. Although I did miss Kristen Bell reading it, it still had all the drama, thrill and humor of the series. Can’t wait for the new HULU series.

Where Did Kristen Bell Go?!

I am a huge Veronica Mars fan. Ive been watching every episode since its release, when I was 10. When i saw that there was an audiobook narrated by Kristen Bell herself, I was elated! To my disappointment, only the first book of the series is narrated by her. Ill still read the book of corse, but it won’t be the same AT ALL. Im almost better off just imagining her voice when i read to myself. With a series like this, I’m sure everyone prefers the main character to tell the story.

P.S. NETFLIX SERIES PLEASE!
