Compiled more than two thousand years ago by a mysterious warrior-philosopher, THE ART OF WAR is still perhaps the most prestigious and influential book of strategy in the world. As a study of the anatomy of organizations in conflict, The Art of War applies to competition and conflict in general, on every level from the interpersonal to the international. Its aim is invincibility, victory without battle, and unassailable strength through understanding the physics, politics, and psychology of conflict. This translation features Sun Tzu's original text along with commentary from classical Chinese military thinkers.

Loved The Reader!!!
For those of you who did not like the fact that a woman was the narrator, I say go find one with a different one. It clearly says that a woman is the reader and I do not know how you could be shocked by this. It even has a preview button!! And for those who think that women cannot fight for what they love, fight in wars, I say we have been doing it as long as the men. You just haven't known we were there. Women fought in wars dressed as men, tended to wounded soldiers as the bullets were flying, were decoys so the troops could gain an upperhand...even led French armies to victory. And today, they are on the front lines, right beside the men. So I must implore you to step into the 21st century with the rest of the world. Things may have been different the thousands of years ago when this was supposedly written, but things have certainly changed since then.
So you who are "Like the jackal who mocks his prey, you use fear to intimidate. The weakness of the jackal is his arrogance, and arrogance is the downfall of anyone who subverts the truth, From Kung Fu TLC). No one has the right to demoralize women, in any context. So if anyone feels like they need an outlet like itunes to express their displeasure with life and the world, I must ask that you use your restraint and refrain from doing so...it is never necessary in any form.
"In war, as in life, there is a wrong way and a right way to compete. Avoid danger and greed. Embrace concentration and awareness. And when it becomes inevitable - let go. From Kung Fu TLC). As anyone must do who is still adhereing to this backwards way of thinking. A woman reading this is more in tune with the feel and way of the culture from which it was derived. But I believe both sexes would do it justice.
Anyone who still thinks like this, is wrong. It is not merely an opinion anymore, but a proven fact. I just ask that anyone who still does, be careful going down this dangerous road, for it may lead you somewhere you never wished to be.
not a good match
Reader has a "sweet" voice which really does not work for this book.
I listened to both versions I think the female narration better
