An unpopular teenage girl whose mother is a religious fanatic is tormented and teased to the breaking point by her more popular schoolmates and uses her hidden telekinetic powers to inflict a terrifying revenge.
The start of a huge career
As a first novel, “Carrie” is an impressive work. What might be the most impressive element is the lean telling of the story. Many King novels have a tendency to ramble and suffer from serious bloat. I was quite pleased with this audiobook, although if you have a problem with Sissy Spacek’s accent, you might not.
I love the book and I love that the book is narrated by the actor from the 1976 movie.
Track 23 has a big skip in it
This is a great book, but Track 23 is damaged.
