Publisher Description
A Pretty Woman tale turns toxic and deadly in this provocative thriller of sex, obsession, and murder from Robyn Harding, the “master of domestic suspense” (Kathleen Barber) and the USA TODAY bestselling author of The Swap and Her Pretty Face.
Natalie, a young art student in New York City, is struggling to pay her bills when a friend makes a suggestion: Why not go online and find a sugar daddy—a wealthy, older man who will pay her for dates and even give her a monthly allowance? Lots of girls do it, Nat learns. All that’s required is to look pretty and hang on his every word. Sexual favors are optional.
Though more than thirty years her senior, Gabe, a handsome corporate finance attorney, seems like the perfect candidate, and within a month, they are madly in love. At least, Nat is…Gabe already has a family, whom he has no intention of leaving.
So when he abruptly ends things, Nat can’t let go. But Gabe’s not about to let his sugar baby destroy his perfect life. What was supposed to be a mutually beneficial arrangement devolves into a nightmare of deception, obsession, and, when a body is found near Gabe’s posh Upper East Side apartment, murder.
Emotionally powerful and packed with page-turning suspense, The Arrangement delves into the sordid, all-too-real world of shadowy relationships between wealthy, powerful men and the young women who are caught in their web.

Pretty good read
First I want to comment on why I only gave 4 stars vs 5. This book started a bit slow, building the murder up quite a bit and the disturbing behavior of the main character was tough to get past. Having to listen to how off the rails she got made me want to stop listening, but I persevered wanting to know what happens in the end. I also actually ended up guessing who the murderer was long before they were revealed, but it was still a good read and I would definitely recommend adding it to your psychological thriller collection. It was well written and the main characters disturbing behavior was necessary for the plot of the book. I was kept on the edge of my seat for a large portion of the book, trying to figure out what was going to happen next, even when i figured out who the murderer was. It will keep you entertained and that’s really all I could’ve asked for in this book.
Just okay
There is not one redeeming quality about any of the characters. Additionally, I found the murderer easy to identify. However, if you want to read about the bad choices and vapid behavior of a 20 something, this one is for you.
Excellent
Pacing was good and the book took you up down and all around!
Kept me up hours couldn’t put down!
