The instant New York Times bestseller

End the struggle, speak up for what you need, and experience the freedom of being truly yourself.

Healthy boundaries. We all know we should have them--in order to achieve work/life balance, cope with toxic people, and enjoy rewarding relationships with partners, friends, and family. But what do "healthy boundaries" really mean--and how can we successfully express our needs, say "no," and be assertive without offending others?

Licensed counselor, sought-after relationship expert, and one of the most influential therapists on Instagram Nedra Glover Tawwab demystifies this complex topic for today's world. In a relatable and inclusive tone, Set Boundaries, Find Peace presents simple-yet-powerful ways to establish healthy boundaries in all aspects of life. Rooted in the latest research and best practices used in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), these techniques help us identify and express our needs clearly and without apology--and unravel a root problem behind codependency, power struggles, anxiety, depression, burnout, and more.

Easy pace ,

Helpful and easy to listen to and follow along to while doing other tasks

I enjoyed the content. I appreciated the examples and instructions on lack of boundaries and how to firmly implement them. I also enjoyed the stories used as examples. I appreciated the real world examples of polls that were used, and not just scientific talk that would not be relatable to a person like me who is using this for self help. The narrators voice was not a distraction to me. It was nice to hear narration from a culturally relatable voice and dialect.

Great book

I honestly think the comments about the narrators voice needing to be changed are rooted in subconscious racism. I think the narration was great and very clear. The book itself is meant as a roadmap so it’s more bullet points and generalizations which I think is a great starting point for boundary mapping. I own the book but I’ve been ironically so overwhelmed I decided to listen to it instead and I found it really helpful and eye opening.

Frustrating to listen to audio, great content.

Struggling to get past the narrator’s constant speech slips. She continues to say “axed” instead of “asked,” - why would someone choose to listen to this? I will be asking for a refund to read the book instead.
