Maddie returns home because she believes her beloved Gran is sick and needs to sell the family home and downsize. Upon returning to Maple Falls she finds out Gran has different plans. Plans that involve Maddie moving back and opening her bakery in Maples Falls. Maddie does just but after she finds one of her best fiends dead she can’t help but believe someone has other plans for her.
I enjoyed the story.. Since this is book 1 the reading is just being introduced to the characters but they are likable and interesting. The mystery is well plotted and kept me guessing who the killer was and why.
I listened to the audio version of the book. The narrator does a wonderful job with the characters and story telling. She has a pleasant voice that makes listening to the story enjoyable.
