Publisher Description
The shadows are in my blood.
I can feel them crawling through me, slithering under my skin and taking me hostage. But the darkness within me isn't nearly as bad as the darkness that lives around me.
The four Celestial Heirs will stop at nothing to destroy the lives of me and my sister. But they haven't figured out yet, that we're the strongest creatures they've ever known.
And when that secret comes out, we need to be ready to face them as well as any other cruel Fae who rises against us.
It’s us or them. And it damn well won’t be us.

intense, unpredictable, heart-wrenching…
Narration: 5/5
Book: 5/5
Zodiac Academy: Shadow Princess is an emotional roller coaster in the best way possible. It made me feel so deeply I thought my chest might actually burst. This book is intense, unpredictable, heart-wrenching, and ridiculously funny. It’s bursting with emotion, and honestly, words don’t quite do it justice.
Major spoilers from this point:
Now, about all the criticism surrounding Tori: most of it seems to come from readers who either can’t relate to her or expect her to behave like a polished Disney princess despite her traumatic past. But for anyone who’s been through real-life pain or teenage trauma, her reactions feel painfully authentic. Her behavior is entirely age-appropriate and trauma-appropriate—arguably even more grounded than Darcy’s.
If you’re looking for a sanitized, picture-perfect heroine, maybe stick to the children’s section at Barnes & Noble. This story doesn’t sugarcoat pain—it leans into it. That’s what makes it so powerful.
The emotional realism in this book hit me hard. Darius’s character development was a surprise in the best way, and I truly believe Tori’s growth is coming—just on her own timeline. It honestly felt a bit cruel of fate to give them their divine moment so early, just as their connection was beginning to deepen. However… maybe that is exactly the point.
I can’t wait to see how they both evolve. This book feels real—and that’s what makes it unforgettable.
