A Promise Never Whispered: The Beaumont Cycle, Book 2 (Unabridged‪)‬

Seven weeks after the river nearly claimed him, Robert Henley-Finch awakens to a world that has been holding its breath.

Beaumont Hall stands unchanged, yet everything within it feels subtly misaligned, as though the house itself remembers something Robert does not. His body has healed, but his return carries a residue of the impossible: dreams of buried hands, hollow orchards, and a presence that will not release its grip. As fragments of his lost time begin to surface, it becomes clear that his collapse was not an accident—and that the river was only the threshold.

Jenny and Charlie soon discover that the past has been carefully curated around Robert, shaped by generations who understood the cost of inheritance better than they admitted. Hidden chambers beneath the orchard, forbidden journals, and a vessel long bound to the Finch bloodline reveal a legacy of guardianship, secrecy, and sacrifice. What was once dismissed as folklore now demands reckoning.

As strangers arrive claiming legal authority over Beaumont’s most closely guarded relics, Robert is forced to confront a truth his family never spoke aloud: the promise he carries was never meant to be explained—only fulfilled. And the house, older and more discerning than its occupants, is no longer content to wait.

Moody, atmospheric, and steeped in quiet dread, A Promise Never Whispered deepens The Beaumont Cycle with a haunting meditation on inheritance, identity, and the cost of standing at the boundary between light and what waits beyond it.
