End of the Line
I enjoyed books 1-3 of this series. I relished book 4.
Book 5 lacked interesting side-characters and lacked a mystery that drew me in and kept me curious.
Book 6 has nothing but annoying side characters, all of whom seem to want the main character out of his position and out of the area. Anybody with any sense going through what the main character was going through here, in his line of work, would be seeking a new job. Nobody was wanting to help him, everybody was wanting to get in his way. Frustrating and boring. The ending is an unsatisfying let-down. The main character is in a good position, now, to stop his work and leave the area. I’ll stop reading the series and pretend THAT’s precisely what he does, in the unwritten epilogue.
