New York Times Bestseller
The internationally syndicated radio host celebrates a group of critically important yet usually overlooked women—stay-at-home moms—and offers them words of inspiration and wisdom.
“I’m scared out of my mind.”
Dr. Laura hears this frequently from women who know that staying home to raise their children is the right thing for their family. Building on the principles developed during her long career as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Dr. Laura provides a wealth of advice and support as well as compassion and inspiration to help them attain this goal. She pays special attention to the outrageous fact that stay-at-home moms are actually controversial! Dr. Laura offers a profound and unique understanding of how important it is for many mothers to raise their own children, and how stay-at-home moms benefit society.
My life has meaning and purpose...
Dr. Laura does not tell the world what they want to hear, she tells the world (or those willing to listen) the truth. Dr. Laura reminds us of the virtue, true purpose and rewards we reap when we raise our own children. In a world that does not value women who do not pursue careers outside of the home, this book will remind readers of a mother's true purpose. It also serves to remind us that we need to support all mothers, fathers, parents and families... knowing that family is the pillar of a society that functions properly. The more people hear this message and apply it to their lives, the better off our world will be. I am so grateful that someone is willing to go against the grain and tell the truth, thank you Dr. Laura. (This book makes an especially good Mother's Day gift!)
Nice!!! Great Topic!!!
I'm very glad Dr.Laura put this book out on an Audiobook. I love how "TO THE POINT" she can be. I hope people will pay attention to what she says in this book. Mothers day is coming up. You should buy this for any new moms you know. (Whether you buy the actual book or the Audiobook.)
I loved it. My wife is a stay at home mom with six kids. Raising kids is the hardest thing humans have done in the history of the world. We need to praise the ones who stay present while in the depths of hell.
