How Marketing Has Changed in the Last 10 Years
Newspaper ads - waste of money
Mass mailings - worthless
Rebuild your website - ineffective
These are just some of the old-school, and not so old-school, marketing ideas that Inbound Marketing trashes. But rather than just tossing these common techniques aside, the authors explain why these ideas no longer work. That is the difference between this book and many others written by people offering their personal experiences in marketing their businesses. This book actually provides a robust discussion and explanation of what works in marketing these days and why. It also goes into the nuts and bolts of doing blogs, using Facebook and other social networking sites, and attaining high placement for your business in Google searches.
In summary, this audiobook was so useful, that after finishing it I ordered two copies of the paper version of the book. One copy will be at my desk for reference and the other is going to a family member who is starting a small business.
A must read!
This book is top of the social/in-bound marketing game. I have listen to it two times back to back and will undoubtedly go for a third. I created a separate Wunderlist just for the task and take aways from this book... A true must read!
Great book for an intro to inbound marketing
This is a must read for an ever changing marketplace.
