Kaylee knows art, friendship, and love. And because she’s known love, she wants nothing to do with it ever again. She likes her life just the way it is. Her art and her Brushes with Lushes classes keep her sane and happy.
Landon spends his days with numbers and financial spreadsheets. At night, he just wants to relax, but the only way he can do that is with a woman. But these days, not just any woman will do.
Kaylee and Landon do an excellent job of dancing around each other. But no matter their own personal hang-ups or how much desire burns between them, they’ll need to make a choice: life as they know it, or a life that could be so much more.
Author Note: Ink by Numbers is a Montgomery Ink short story and a little different than what you’re used to from me. It’s shorter than my other novellas at only 15,000 words. It has a complete HEA and is perfect for a steamy evening, one-sitting listen.

Ink by Numbers
This is book 3.5 of the Colorado Springs Series. Kaylee is from a wealthy socialite family, she married her first husband to please her mother but quickly realized that nothing would please her mom and it was time to live her life for her own happiness. Now she runs her own art studio and has monthly Brushes with Lushes classes and is joined by all the Montgomery women and their friends.
Landon is friends with the Montgomery's as well as with Kaylee. They have been circling each other for over a year. They weren't ready for a relationship then, and the whole group thinks that they are already a couple, but now they might not have a choice anymore as their chemistry is going to get the best of them.
This was the best couple to cap the Colorado Springs series with. The book is more of a novella, but its smooth and sweet, with barely any drama. A slow burn right to home plate.
As always the audio performance by Joe Arden was phenomenal. He’s one of my favs and I always feel that his voice just fits all the Montgomery books so well.
In need of more ...
In a way I was disappointed in this novella. Yes it is just a novella, but I felt there was more story to tell. It seemed to go so quickly and I wasn't ready for it to end. Landon and Kaylee have a history and a future. I would've liked to have seen more of their family dynamics. And I definitely wanted to see what Mama Chambers had to say when Kaylee brought Landon home to meet her. But I digress.
Joe Arden rocks another Montgomery Ink book. I always enjoy when he revisits them. Looking forward to more Joe Arden love.
