Not only were they able to synthesize trends in pop and hip-hop amidst the post-grunge era and nu metal boom, then constantly reinvent their sound over multiple albums, Linkin Park’s radically vulnerable lyrics also helped usher in a new era of artists (and fans) more open to discussing mental health and prioritizing inclusivity. Led by their front men, Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda, who balanced each other out artistically, Linkin Park never shied away from songs that put their issues front and center, for the world to see and feel. Before this book, like most of other fans, I learnt those back stage stories of the band from LPTV and interviews. I always know they are not just amazing spirits with enormous passion for music, but they also human beings who also had suffer and failure and pick themselves up, that’s why their music is so contagious and can convey so much energy, emotions and love. This book reveals how they developed LINKIN PARK and also how members grown, you can know something new about the band and members. And more importantly, you may feel something new in their songs after learning these stories.
