Publisher Description
Most men can’t handle Hazel. But her best friend Josh isn’t most men. Don’t miss New York Times bestselling author Christina Lauren’s new novel about two people who are definitely not dating…no matter how often they end up in bed together.
Hazel Camille Bradford knows she’s a lot to take—and frankly, most men aren’t up to the challenge. If her army of pets and thrill for the absurd don’t send them running, her lack of filter means she’ll say exactly the wrong thing in a delicate moment. Their loss. She’s a good soul in search of honest fun.
Josh Im has known Hazel since college, where her zany playfulness proved completely incompatible with his mellow restraint. From the first night they met—when she gracelessly threw up on his shoes—to when she sent him an unintelligible email while in a post-surgical haze, Josh has always thought of Hazel more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, after a cheating girlfriend has turned his life upside down, going out with Hazel is a breath of fresh air.
Not that Josh and Hazel date. At least, not each other. Because setting each other up on progressively terrible double blind dates means there’s nothing between them...right?

Wud be 5 but...
I loved and enjoyed everything about this audiobook. Obvi, it is another jackpot romantic comedy we’ve all come to love and expect from this dynamic duo of authors. The female narrative is spot on with both male and female characters and the male narrative is perfect for the male character. I just can’t get past the male narrative of the female character. I’m sorry... it just grates on me throughout the entire book. It comes across whiny and annoying. I get through the book because, come on, the authors and the rest of the narration. But maybe next time look for a different male narrator. Love you both, Christina & Lauren!!
2 stars only because I love this book.
Hazel’s voice? Great, liked it fine, no complaint (at least not in only the three chapters I managed to struggle through). Josh’s voice? The inflections came across as kind of bored and nasal, and his “female” voice WAS NOT IT. It was whiny, insanely nasal and although it wasn’t meant as a mockery it sure felt like one 😭 I seriously couldn’t listen through even one of Josh’s chapters.
As for the book itself… it’s a liiiiittle “pick me” ish, BUT I love it nonetheless and it’s a little older and actually reading the book is a sexy, cute, FUN experience that had me loling for real! There is no Christina Lauren book that deserves slander.
Disappointing read
I couldn’t get through the first hour of listening to this book. The female character was awful, If the rider meant for it to be inspiring and free spirited character, they did not succeed.
