Publisher Description
In this third installment of Pearson's Sun Valley series,
Killer Summer takes us back to the high-stakes world of the wealthy and politically connected - just in time for the area's 17th Annual Wine Auction. The world's most elite wine connoisseurs have descended on Sun Valley to taste and bid on the world's best wines, including three bottles which are said to have been a gift from Thomas Jefferson to John Adams.
With sky-high prices all but guaranteed for these priceless items, it's no wonder a group of thieves is out to steal them. Sheriff Walt Fleming is responsible for all aspects of the auction, from security of the dignitaries to the physical safety of the auction site to the transportation and security of the rare wines themselves. When a bomb explodes just as the auction revs up, Walt is thrown headlong into the fray, investigating not just an explosion, but an even bigger heist planned by a criminal mastermind who will stop at nothing to gain his prize.

Fair reading
I bought this 3rd installment to hopefully finish the trilogy and while good, I definitely liked the first 2 better. I like the main character, Walt Fleming but found some angles a bit tiresome. Also, since Mr Pearson didn't really give us a concise ending, I'm hoping that there will be another installment. All in all, if you've followed the first two, you may as well read this one. I do like that he continues with the majority of the characters. Sorta feels like a familiar blanket. Storyline was interesting and the reader did a fair job. Yes, I would buy another installment unless it went skyhigh in price. I think at the price it is now, that it is a fair deal. While I can't give it a great, its ok - not bad - not great. Enjoyable though. I hope others will like it too.
