King Of My Heart!
My first π².π. π΅πππππ ππππ book & most definitely not my last! The author's writing style absolutely captivated me and kept me hooked til the end!
I loved Piper and Kyle. One is grumpy, one is full of sunshine and roses, and together, they were swoon worthy! He wants to work the farm, she wants him to resign with the label he had, and watching them navigate that, watching this π²πππ πΆπ πͺππππππ music & this red headed city girl together, was an absolute delight!
I got giddy watching as Kyle fell hard for Piper. When the guy falls first, it always steals my heart! So Swoonworthy!
And, they got the perfect narrator for Kyle! πππβπππ¦ ππππππ'π smooth voice is always a delight to listen to! He put his whole self into this cowboy and brought him to life! π΄πππ π΄ππππ‘ is our queen! I loved her portraying Piper. She nails each and every character she does and together, these two did a phenomenal job!
The slow burn of this book was masterfully down and I loved every single second of it. Because it is so worth the wait for these two! I am absolutely looking forward to going back and reading more of π².π. π΅πππππ ππππβπ books.
Great narration

Kyle Spencer was a famous country singer whoβd walked away from his career; he just wanted to go back to his small town in Texas. Piper Egan, a city girl, had her dream job, but to get the promotion she wanted, she had to convince Kyle to sign a contract and return to music.
Piper was determined to get him to sign, no matter what. Kyle was not friendly, but that didnβt deter her. And Kyle, well, he couldnβt deny his attraction to Piper. There was angst, tension, and a slow burn, but it was so worth it.
I enjoyed seeing these two opposites β the city girl and the country boy β slowly fall in love. They had great banter and so much chemistry. It did take me a while to get into the story (the beginning just seemed slow to me), but once I got into it, I liked it. This was my first CW Farnsworth book, but it will not be the last.

Style: Dual
Andi and Zachary are a couple of my favorite narrators, and they did an excellent job bringing the story and characters to life. Andi had the perfect voice for the bold city girl, Piper. And Zachary was perfect for the slightly grumpy, but big-hearted, Kyle.

Piper Egan was given a mission by her record label: travel to a quaint Texas town and persuade the King of country music to return to the stage. Little did she know, her own heart would be on the line as she spent time with the stubborn Kyle Spencer.

The story itself had a delightful start. It all begins with a pair of rain boots! It was amusing how Kyle fell for Piper, even as she insisted she disliked country music. Their love story developed gradually, just as I expected from C.W. Farnsworth's writing style. The witty banter and natural chemistry between Piper and Kyle was charming.
I must commend the exceptional dual narration delivered by Andi Ardnt and Zackary Webber. Their performances truly brought these characters to life.
Overall, if you're seeking a lighthearted audiobook, this one will surely bring you joy. It's a perfect choice for readers who adore small-town romances with good banter.
