One night, Vittoria misses dinner service at the family's renowned Sicilian restaurant. Emilia soon finds the body of her beloved twin...desecrated beyond belief. Devastated, Emilia sets out to find her sister's killer and to seek vengeance at any cost-even if it means using dark magic that's been long forbidden.
Then Emilia meets Wrath, one of the Wicked-princes of Hell she has been warned against in tales since she was a child. Wrath claims to be on Emilia's side, tasked by his master with solving the series of women's murders on the island. But when it comes to the Wicked, nothing is as it seems...

Great book
I really love this book and the characters and plot line. The overall theme and fantasy is set up and executed incredibly well and the narrators performance is phenomenal. My biggest issue is the main characters incompetence and doubt throughout it. She stands by and watches horrible things happen while frozen and then slumps to the floor asking why nothing is going right and everything is hard when it could have been avoided completely. Im sure it’s leaving room for her to eventually grow later on in the series but man it tested me sometimes. I got through most of those moments but started skipping ahead towards the end so I wouldn’t lose interest in the book. Again, great book and will continue the series just be mentally prepared.
So sad
I read this book myself and thought it would be great to listen to it on the plane to Italy. I really didn’t like that it was just one person. A woman trying to do Wrath’s voice was terrible.
Tedious
Overly dramatic narration and a severe lack of dialogue make this a real drag. Not worth the money and did not make it past track 7.
