Lachlan MacTaggart is hot, Scottish, and dangerous — to a woman's heart.
I'm done with love. My ex-wife made sure of that. When my American friend offers to swap houses with me for a month, I can't say no. Chicago sounds like the perfect place for a holiday, until I find out there's a sexy American lass living next door.
Erica Teague is bonnie, clever, and as wounded as I am. But I won't ask her why. All I need is Erica in my bed for four weeks, no strings, just a summer fling. We won't talk about our pasts, our lives, or anything except sex.
That's the plan. But the woman who's too young for me is determined to crawl under my skin and expose everything.
Lachlan in a Kilt is the first book in The Ballachulish Trilogy, featuring stories based on the first three books in the bestselling Hot Scots series, reborn and retold from the heroes' perspectives.

SwoonWorthy & Entertaining! Awesome Narration & Listen🎧
I enjoyed this book immensely, the story drew me in right from the start, grabbed my attention and held it captive all the way to the end. This is Erica Teague and Lachlan MacTaggart’s story, Erica’s POV was told in “Dangerous in a Kilt”, this book is told entirely Lachlan’s POV. There is always two sides to a story, Anna Durand brings you Lachlan’s side, Lachlan is spending a month in America, he traded his flat for his friend’s home who is honeymooning in Scotland. Lachlan next door neighbor captured his attention the moment he laid eyes on her, Gil warned him to stay away from her so he is aware she is not a one night stand type of gal. He is in process of a nasty divorce or rather divorcing his nasty ex. She left a bad taste in his mouth and is not looking to get involved in another relationship. He winds up going out the first night in town after seeing one of the clubs advertising it was Midsummer Kilt Night, he could not resist the step into fantasy world for one night only. It turns out to be a fantasy when he sees who is there, none other than Erica. Erica has a lot going on and she partying hard that night even got to meet a kilt wearing Scot but is not one to handle liquor and it catches up, Lachlan loses his chance with her. Little does she know it won’t be the last time she sees him, at first she thinks he is stalking her, LOL, but the two wind up hitting it off and Lachlan convinces her to have a month long casual fling with him. But not developing feelings is not so easy when the chemistry is that strong. I have not had the pleasure to enjoy “Dangerous in a Kilt” but that did not hinder my enjoyment of this book at all. This is a hot romance novel, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, some great humor and witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions as well as a bit of mystery behind what was going on in Erica’s life, it keeps you wondering until it is revealed. Anna Durand, thank you for another greatly entertaining novel and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, John Hartley is a talented narrator and voice artist. He does an awesome job portraying the characters, taking each role and making it his own and believable in every role he played. His Scottish accent is absolutely brilliant, he handles the dialogue with ease and switches roles flawlessly. He sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all of the characters emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen.
