Callahan is the brother that can be considered flakey if you ask his siblings. He makes decisions for the family business that he knows are the right one in his heart even if his brothers think they are reckless. He also likes himself a good stiff drink and fun with women. This is exactly how he gets to see his one night stand the next day at a business pitch. Sutton has always put others in front of herself. So when she decides to take care of her own desires she ends up with the best sex of her life. But as fate has it, she lands an opportunity of a lifetime and now she needs to work exclusively for months on an island with the guy she can’t get away from. But also doesn’t want to. She deserves to be happy and be with someone who supports her in every way.
Aaron and Stella did a great job with this narration. This book is definitely steamy and starts off with a bang. The feelings of each character was displayed very well and you could feel their emotions during some of the sultry yet hard and emotional times. I’d definitely recommend this book!
Loved Cal and Sutton
Last Resort Is the first book of the S.I.N Series and we were introduced to Callahan Sharpe. The young, sexy, alpha, and rebellious playboy.
Because of his ways, Callahan’s family dynamic is complex. It didn’t always work in his favor. Making the dynamic with his brothers one of jealousy, resentment and hostility at times. Looking to escape and run, this current work project for their family business would be Callahan’s last, as a promise to his father, until he met Sutton.
What started off as a playful, no names revealed one night stand with Sutton ends up sending them both through the wringer when she realizes he’s her new boss. This forced proximity, forbidden, work place romance ends up with them having to work together in the Virgin Islands but also having to stay away from each other.
Their banter was sexy and sassy, their chemistry was both tempting and spicy. With too much at stake Sutton challenges Cal in more way then one, in the work place but also on a personal level. We follow them on the roller coaster of navigating life, romance, and work. Great read, and audiobook listen Stella Hunter and Aaron Shedlock did a great job in narration and kept me engaged. Loved this quick read/listen. On to the next book in the series!
