Meh…
So I had recently purchased the series “Slow Burn” written by Bobby Adair. It was actually a very solid zombie read with a great writing style, descriptives, and a story that was intriguing and yet a little different from the average zombie tale. I’m sure it was well written and entertaining. Zombie stories and zombie video games and zombie movies are my jam. So I have listen to, red, played, and watched hundreds of titles.
When I saw this title and this collaboration, I was hoping that it would be near to the same level as Bobby Adair’s other work. However, the writing style, the story material, the characters, all of it is forgettable and sophomoric. I’m not sure if this is due to the collaboration and compromising one’s style to build a story with a co-author? I don’t know… But this is quite the letdown.
