Isaac Vainio is a Libriomancer, a member of the secret organization founded five centuries ago by Johannes Gutenberg. Libriomancers are gifted with the ability to magically reach into books and draw forth objects. When Isaac is attacked by vampires that leaked from the pages of books into our world, he barely manages to escape. To his horror he discovers that vampires have been attacking other magic-users as well, and Gutenberg has been kidnapped.

With the help of a motorcycle-riding dryad who packs a pair of oak cudgels, Isaac finds himself hunting the unknown dark power that has been manipulating humans and vampires alike. And his search will uncover dangerous secrets about Libriomancy, Gutenberg, and the history of magic....

Different narrator than the one in other reviews.

When I purchased this it was in spite of the written reviews I saw that had negative criticism of the original narrator. While I am not sure I like some of the voices the new narrator used for some characters, this version has been edited well and is very polished. Very well done and a huge improvement on the original. I know this because the version I heard still includes the last track of the original version. Purchase with confidence that this version is worth the listen. Very glad I gave it a chance anyway.

Don't buy this audiobook!!!!

I was looking forward to this book, the production was sloppy and the narration is absolutely awful!!! Lines are repeated for no reason. The narrator's delivery is dull and whiny, and makes even the fight scenes sound dull and boring. He can't even pronounce the main character's name correctly! (unless it really is pronounced "Izayak"). Here's a hint----it's "Narnia", not "Narania", and "labarynth" not larabynth.
The story itself is great, but I just can't listen to a diffident, whiny, illiterate and boring narrator make what should be exciting scenes boring. He totally destroyed any enjoyment. I will probably be buying this book and reading it to enjoy the story, but don't ever buy anything narrated by this reader!!!!!!!
