Lies and Lullabies: Hush Note (Unabridged‪)‬

I really enjoyed this sweet and emotional second chance romance. It is a mix of the best romance tropes with a rock star hero, a pregnancy that he never knew about, and a single mom who is struggling but doing the best for her little girl.
Jonas Smith returns to Nest Lake, Maine where he had spent a most memorable time. He regrets not keeping in contact with the girl he left behind there.
Kira has a secret that she has kept from John/Jonas but when he suddenly arrives in Maine she’s is forced to contain the issue.
I listened to this story on audiobook and I loved the narration by Erin Mallon and Tim Paige. They really brought the story to life.

I had the pleasure of listening to an early copy of this book and it really was just that, an absolute pleasure. With Erin Mallon as Kira, Tim Paige as Jonas, and an amazing story written by Sarina Bowen, this audiobook was like music to my ears. Erin is fantastic as always and she also does the best male voice of any female narrator I know. And Tim, well he's great too and I had no idea he could sing. Absolutely delightful!

This story is heartwarming, sweet, and emotional with just the right amount of sexy thrown in.
It's not every day you are lucky enough to cross paths again with the one that got away, the person who can finally complete your life and fill the place in your heart that is empty. But that's what happens to Kira and Jonas after 5 long years and it is nothing short of beautiful and magical.
Of course Jonas had no idea that after their summer together that he had given Kira a lot more than memories to hold onto. He gave her Vivi and she is such a smart and adorable little girl. I just adore her. It hurts Jonas that Kira never told him about her though, but in her defense, it's not like he was honest about who he was either. So there are the missed years and the sadness and shock to get over and some definite misunderstandings to overcome, but it is clear that a love was forged that summer and now that they have found each other again, nothing will tear them apart. Or will it? Can a rock star really have a normal life? There are many times it doesn't seem possible. Jonas may be a sexy rock god, but the reason I love him so much is because that is exactly what he wants. From the moment he is with Kira again and the moment he meets his daughter, being with them and taking care of them becomes his focus even though it is definitely not always easy.
But this is a romance after all so it does come complete with a very satisfying HEA!! I absolutely loved it!!!
I really like Kira's brother Adam too and that whole side storyline-he has been such a huge part of Kira's life and equally as much of Vivi's. What a great character he is!
I am also looking forward to more of Hush Note with Jonas's bandmate Nixon's story and Quinn's too from the other two authors involved in this series.
