APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Some crimes are too big for just one detective, so James Patterson and Duane Swierczynski put two PIs on the job in this exciting mystery. In Philadelphia, beloved Eagles quarterback Archie Hughes is murdered on the eve of an NFL playoff game, and all signs point to his superstar pop singer wife, Francine. The DA turns to private detective Veena Lion for help, while the family hires her rival, Cooper Lamb. More interested in the truth than in who’s paying them, the pair decide to join forces. The banter between these two made us think of classic TV shows like Moonlighting or Castle, where investigating a murder still leaves plenty of room for wisecracks. The three-person vocal cast never misses a beat, leaning into every sarcastic comment and flirtatious exchange. With its splashy mystery and fun characters, Lion & Lamb is a true anytime listen.

Audio reader was the worst
Story good
Don’t waste your time - it’s awful
This was one of the worst written books. It was felt like it was written by a child. The audio version was painful. I had to turn it off and listen in parts.
James Patterson books have gotten awful when we had a coauthor.
Don’t do it
OMG this is the worst audio book ever! The narrator is so annoying that I can’t even get into the book. I’m not rating the book because I don’t know if it’s worth the money, but I know the audio isn’t.
