Wow. Did not see that coming
Wow what a surprise. Never saw that coming.
I think my favorite line in this book was when Raven was having a bad day and she said normally she tries to push through but that day she left work early. I totally get that. It’s really hard to ask for help and we tend to overdo it and people don’t realize what it does to us both physically and mentally. When we can’t do our normal stuff we feel like failures. So this completely resonated with me. And I hope others listen to what she is actually saying. There is someone in everyone’s life that has an unseen medical condition. It won’t go away. It won’t get better. We have to deal with the lot we were dealt. And when we have a bad day cut us some slack instead of calling us lazy not melodramatic. We are neither.
I haven’t listened to Connor Crais very much so his voice was a nice change of pace for me. And Jacob Morgan is always a pleasure. This was my first book narrated by Meg Sylvan. Here’s hoping I see more from her.
