Publisher Description
Witness the simple power of the gospel in your everyday life.
The word "Evangelism" makes many Christians uncomfortable. Perhaps it is because evangelism "formulas" often feel manufactured, non-relational, and forced. But Jesus modeled a paradigm that was precisely the opposite. He shared the gospel in simple and personal ways by seeking out "the one"—the one who needed to meet Him most.
God led David McIver to follow this example, looking for one specific person each day with whom to share the love of Jesus. Amazing Kingdom results followed his simple act of obedience.
In Looking for the One, David McIver—veteran minister, executive director for PraiseLive radio, and former Chapel leader serving the Minnesota Twins—liberates listeners from "evangelism" formulas, equipping them instead to walk in the same surrendered attentiveness that Jesus modeled, seeing lives transformed by the true power of the gospel.
Looking For the One is short stories about people experiencing Jesus in grocery stores, hospitals, and dugouts. Each story models what happens when you invite Jesus to look for the one through you. It's replacing a formula or system with organic and supernatural encounters.
Each short story includes resources and discussion questions, equipping you to carry the gospel in ways that are….

As you witness the gospel's simple power in your everyday life, you discover that the first life to be changed is yours. Because as you look for the one, you become like the One. You become more like Jesus.
"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them—what do you do? You leave the other ninety-nine sheep in the pasture and go looking for the one that got lost until you find it." (Luke 15:4 NIV)

Well Done David!! God’s love & grace is simple & free
Amazing stories of how the Spirit worked through David in every day situations. He was open to allowing God to use his eyes & heart to mirror His own for the lost & unsaved. This book is an inspiration and one every believer needs to read (or listen to as I did). I work for the Pohlad Family and am very familiar with many places in Minneapolis that Dave talks about - including the Twins, the sports stadiums, light rail, Mall Of America, the beautiful lakes of Minnesota, etc.
Beautiful
It’s wonderful how God works in miraculous ways
