Good but Verbose
I enjoyed listening to this trilogy. This third and final book was an interesting and enjoyable journey. It wrapped up the trilogy better than most.
But of the three books this is the one that went a little too far down the Tolkien verbosity trail. Enough so that I wanted to fast forward in spots. The most common culprit, being repetitive character, motivations, and descriptions.
Having said that, I wouldn’t let it deter you if you are invested in the characters and their arcs. Plus, the fiction is still top-notch.
