Enjoyed Rhage and Mary’s love stor!

I Love these books. Can be read as stand alone or in order, which is fantastic. I love that they are longer books and so involved. The depth to each character and their personal love stories are spectacular. I love the imagination behind these books. I really enjoy Frangione as the reader of these characters. He has added greatly to my enjoyment of this series. So glad he's read the whole series.

I've just finished listening to the last 4 books of this series... Back-to-back BDB. I have listened to all 10 audiobooks. They are outstanding. I read a negative review of Jim Frangione, and wanted to add my opinion.
If this is your first BDB audio, allow for a little bit of time to get used to the narrator. His performances are brilliant and I can't imagine this series without him. He adds so much depth to the characters, and his interpretation of the material makes each scene as engaging as possible. When I first listened to Dark Lover (book 1) I was worried his voice and style was wrong for a gritty vampire romance novel. As the series continues, the books get better, and the narration becomes more and more essential.
I wouldn't read this series. Only on audio! I tried and couldn't compare to the experience of the audiobook.
As for the book, every single one is amazing. This is Rhage's story. It's not my favorite, but most BDB fans love this one. Moreover, the next book is my very favorite. You can't skip around in this series! Starting with the next book, each story is better than the last!
