Lover Unleashed: A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood (Unabridged‪)‬

As a writer who has openly said more than a few times that I take my inspiriation from JR Ward, I have to say this is the worst one so far. But the worst JR Ward books is still a good book.

As a man who loves romance, there are cardnal sins that I normally stop reading when I see. I gave JR slack on this. I hate when the men do nothing wrong but they are so stuipd that they don’t know how to just say that they didn’t do anything wrong and it causes problems. I feel like this is men hating and lazy to prolong a story. I hate when Virgins are magically great at sex and make more experienced people have the best orgasms in their life in like 2 seconds. Not realisitic. And Don’t play with kid gloves for the MC. The final showdown in the book with Payne and villian is weak.

All that being said, even though I didn’t care to have a part to of V and Jane, and also Blay and Quinn, it was good to see how things are progressing and seeing things unfold. If I wanted a part 2 of anyone it would be Butch and Marrisa.

It is still a good book dispite all my ranting.

Interesting story with Payne and her other half. Vishous and his mate are also included. There are points that your heart strings will be yanked on as the couples don’t seem to see eye to eye. The narrator did a great job!

I would have liked the book to focus more on Payne and Manny...we didn’t learn about Payne’s life prior to the incident with the Bloodletter, or her time in captivity. We didn’t learn anything about Manny’s life prior to becoming a doctor. I am left wanting to know more about them! Although it was a good book. I hope these two will be revisited in the future.
