This will keep you on the edge of your seat!

This book is at the very top of my listening experience. I couldn't stop listening, it keeps you wanting more.
In the chapter "the hook," I loved the romance seen between Lucky and Trixie and how they came together.
Roberto Scarlato's deep voice in this book was amazing..
It made me feel sorry for some of the characters. Lucky's struggle between himself was amazing and in the end I felt he came full circle and I was extreme overjoyed by the whole experience.
This is a must listen to book. You have mystery and suspense for the time period it was written and is outstanding. I would recommend it to everyone young and old.

Excellent Listen: Awesome Noir Stiry

Lucky flows extremely well from beginning to end. It's the perfect length to listen to on an airline flight or a few hours travel in the car. I was transported back to post WWII and loved the mystery-drama of Lucky's first case! Looking forward to the next one!
The scene when Lucky and Jack are interviewing Tony, a small time mobster really resonated. The dialogue is snappy between all three men and enjoyed the under currents between Lucky and his partner.
Roberto has that late 40's style deep noir voice that really helps to bring the story alive!
Lucky's revelation toward the end of the book really put the wow! on the story. Sharing his "Aha!" moment and the thoughts leading up to it was just as eye opening for me as it was for him.
This is a novel worth listening to! The story content and the narrative work extremely well together and I hope to hear/read more about Lucky (would love a story on Trixie also).
