Didn’t want it to end!
I love this entire series but this book is definitely hitting all the feels. I laughed out loud and I have even gotten teary eyed. This series has been building over 8 books so far and things are culminating so emotions definitely ran high.
Breene really knows how to create characters with depth and I love them all. I adore Austin and Jess and their fierce bond. I love how Jess treats her crew like family no matter how bonkers they are.
I know all great things come to an end so I will be sad when we get to the last book. But I will definitely be looking forward to it on bated breath!
Best secondary characters ever
Jessie, Edgar, battle flowers, oh my!
PWF, Paranormal, shifters, witches and wizards, fantasy, older FMC, warrior women, grumpy/sunshine, touch her and 💀
spice 🌶️🌶️
This book was amazingly better than the last. We finally get to see Austin’s entire family. Getting an in depth view of all the undercurrents allowed me to see what shaped Austin into Austin Steele. Some of that insight was enlightening while other parts tragic. It’s a hard road they have at his old pack lands, but they promised to help them defeat the evil Wizard and that’s what they will do. The alternative is too devastating to contemplate.
Jessie continues to grow as a character. She has all but she’d her self conscious, self depreciating, past thoughts…. For the most part anyway. Either way she pushes past those moments and comes out all the brighter for it.
Austin played a HUGE part in this book. I know he has played a larger and larger role, speaker wise, as the books have gone on but this one was around half his POV. I could be wrong but it was a lot! Him and Jessie are full hot 🥵 and heavy now which is just the way our MMC like it’s. I keep wondering when he will….. well, you will see.
The band of misfits weee amazing. I love the energy they bring and the weirdness they show everyone without care. They are my spirit characters!
I laughed so hard I cried at a couple moments. I cried at others. This book pulled out every emotion it could make me feel and left me wanting more. There is always something new happening in this world and I don’t know how the author can think to ever end this series.
In case it wasn’t understood…. I HIGHLY recommend this book and the entire series!
