Publisher Description

Widely regarded as his major work, Crowley's Magick in Theory and Practice is an extensive treatise on magick, a system of Western occult practice synthesized from many sources, including Eastern yoga, hermeticism, medieval grimoires, contemporary magical theories, and Crowley's own original contributions. As important today as when it was first written, Magick in Theory and Practice is essential listening for anyone interested in occultism.

Just a note about the audiobook reading

This is just a note about the reading performance. I find the voice perfectly fine to listen to overall (which is not always the case for me with audiobooks), although I wonder if this is actually an AI or computer generated voice. Generally it listens well but there are a number of recurring or odd mispronunciations. For example, the word "syntax" is pronounced "sign tax"; the name of the Herbrew letter vau is pronounced "vey-oo"; the abbreviation mss. is pronounced "em es es" rather than "manuscripts"; and there are other probably more important mispronunciations. Those are just a few oddities I remember. The mispronuncitions are not constant but they're there and I don't think an actual human would say "sign tax" for syntax. This is not such a big deal but... just so you know what you're getting. Nonetheless it remains listenable and if you want the convenience of listening to this in audio form then... go for it. I myself am enjoying it so far.

I learned the truth about the tarot

In the book of Thoth.
I am not a follower of Crowley. I prefer the knowledge and wisdom of Levi. Some call both of them insane and outright false.
But I started learning how to use numerology along with the tarot.
I would stay up for 4-5 days. Fall asleep for 1-2 hours. Wake up at 1:11,2:22,3:33,4:44 day after day I continuously would wake up to numbers that were at 3’s and it continues to this day. I can pick up my phone and it will be 12:34, 11:11, 1:11 not even knowing what time of day it was.
There’s books on numerology in droves.
I got a couple, I have the exact same formula that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He has more numbers than I do. Because he has more letters in his name. But I have my name in every single number.
Thelema is not my path. I’m a Solomonic practitioner who works with his sigils.
I have read almost all Crowley books. (Still can’t find the headless one)
Before reading this and branching off into his teaching, read up on astrology, planetary Magick, Kabbalah, and a book that was made a couple centuries before Jesus was born. The secret Magick of Abremaline the mage. I personally began my path of the occult (not a cult, occult) by reading a master Llama by the name of T. Lobsang Rampa.
From than on I found I had a connection between my third eye and the universe.
Great book.
I would love to get into Merlin’s Magick. I’m looking forward to finding a book.
