Another fun installment in the IVV world...
This one starts out with a bang! Drama, suspense, fight scenes and ultimately, it’ll be tearing at your heartstrings before you’re even through a single chapter. What a bad-$$ this female lead is—and the reader is instantly dropped into a wild ride.
This ties in with Claim Me (by Lexi C. Foss) very well, as the leads in this installment are under King Caspian’s domain/ jurisdiction.

Overall: this was an incredibly fun read, with characters I loved, plus one I loved to hate. The action scenes are delicious, and the fight scenes feel realistic. I did predict the mystery and who the mole was, but I predict everything and there were clues, so I assume I was supposed to.
As far as tying this and Billie’s story into the IVV world: brilliantly done.

🎧 Audio:
This has an all-star cast, and is a full-cast narration. Everyone sounds absolutely amazing! The overall production has a few issues though, there are instances of one-sided conversations where the other party’s audio is just missing. (And a more minor issue, like a line being stated twice. I’m sure they’ll get this fixed quickly, but my review is of course based on my reading experience—it seems like maybe someone forgot to proof this one or something.)
What I like about audiobooks is being able to be hands-free, however, I couldn’t for this experience as I kept having to pull up the ebook in order to see what the audio’s missing parts said.
Everything that is here though, sounds amazing!! 🦩
