APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
So you think you’re having a bad day? At least you didn’t fall off a cliff, have a close encounter with a ticked-off grizzly bear, or endure any of the other hair-raising episodes experienced by Steven Rinella and his wildly adventurous MeatEater crew. All the familiar characters from the popular MeatEater show are here in this audiobook, exploring the dangerous corners of the great outdoors. You’ll marvel more than once that Rinella and his crew are still alive, especially when you hear stories like the one about the hunter who fell from a tree stand in the Jersey wilderness, got too injured to run, and realized the noises he was hearing nearby were snakes. Or the one about the Arizona game warden who tried to arrest a heavily armed and very unstable man. This thoroughly entertaining audiobook will make you feel like you’re embarking on a life-changing adventure, even if you’re just listening during your supermarket run.
This was a great audiobook. I highly recommend! But I do have one question though. I was always told that AB+ blood is the “universal recipient. Which means he can receive blood from all blood types, and in one of the stories the guy said he needed to go to a whole other hospital just to get the right blood he needed due to him being AB+?
Great stories of survival told well
As someone who spends time in the wilderness and has a healthy respect for the power of Mother Nature… I always find it useful to hear the first-hand accounts of those who’ve actually experienced the “worst case scenario.” Great lessons to take away about being prepared, recognizing the signs of trouble before they get out of control, etc.
Weak stories. Weak story tellers. Audiobook is hot trash.
