Medium Raw marks the return of the inimitable Anthony Bourdain, author of the blockbuster bestseller Kitchen Confidential and three-time Emmy Award-nominated host of No Reservations on TV’s Travel Channel. Bourdain calls his book, “A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook,” and he is at his entertaining best as he takes aim at some of the biggest names in the foodie world, including David Chang, Alice Waters, the Top Chef winners and losers, and many more. If Hunter S. Thompson had written a book about the restaurant business, it could have been Medium Raw.

“No one rushes to take a sip of wine. They want to remember this flavor.”
Some of the best of Bourdain's writing is found in the little passages that a reader could almost miss entirely as she flies through the pages in search of Tony's take on Chang, Richman, Food Network... Like the simple, honest food he finds during his travels, it's the small, seemingly ordinary moments of honest observation and reflection that make this book so compelling.
I'm a big fan of this author and chef. I saw him speak in Chicago after I read his first book and this one didn't disappoint. I would recommend this audiobook and I love that he reads it.
Awesome - 2nd only to k.confidetial
Great book. His first was more of an exposé and it seems like not as much is fresh. Regardless, bourdain always seems to find the perfect word for any sentence. However many years he spent blitzed, it certainly didnt affect his ability to directly connect with the reader. Keep 'em coming, Tony! And I love the show.
