Good story, but narrator could be better
The background music is extremely obnoxious. The narrator has little to no range. Doesn’t leave much to the imagination
6.5/10
The whole story was kinda like the original giver, but also completely different. I really did like Mattys story, and how the ending intertwined with the other two stories by Lois. The ending was really good and made me think about it a little so… but all in all, it was a very good book and REALLY easy to read, just felt a little repetitive, with some plot holes… idk… it was nice to see where Jonas and Gabe ended up though!
Good book but hard to understand
It was a very good book but I often found myself struggling to understand because of the narrator’s fast-speaking voice. It was hard to tell when quotations started because the narrator would jumble sentences together and not take a necessary pause. Other than that, it was a calming and enjoyable story. I enjoyed it better than the previous book Gathering Blue (I liked the narration better on that book though).
