Publisher Description
A dark contemporary billionaire romance featuring anti-hero, secret society and close proximity tropes from USA Today Bestselling duo P. Rayne.
I spend my nights slinging drinks at Black Magic Bar or taking my clothes off at the local strip club. After my father passed, my stepmother gave me no other choice.
But when I break free of the chains binding me to my family estate, I find myself with nowhere to go. Until Nero Voss, the youngest of the billionaire Voss brothers, offers me a room at Midnight Manor. Now, I’m under his watchful gaze and enjoying it more than I should.
I shouldn’t give in to temptation, he is my stepsister’s ex-fiancé after all, but the pull toward him grows stronger by the day. I fight, but I’m losing the battle.
Nero is keeping secrets, though.
What he doesn’t know is that I’m keeping secrets, too.

Loved it!! Great narration.
The third audiobook delivers just like the previous ones. Jason Clarke and Callie Dalton bring the characters to life, perfectly capturing their emotions. I was hooked, feeling every ounce of happiness, pain, and longing along the way.
This unique Cinderella retelling offers a fresh twist on the classic fairy tale. Cinder and Nero’s story is simply captivating, leaving me eager for the next installment. If you crave dark billionaire romance with a dash of spice and a sprinkle of fairy tale magic, this series is a must-listen!

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧
This book is even better in audio!
I thought the narrators were perfect in this duet-style audiobook. Jason Clarke gave a panty-melting performance as Nero.
Callie Dalton was a new-to-me narrator and it took a moment to get used to her voice, but I came to really enjoy how she gave additional strength to Cinder. She definitely upheld the sexually confident and mature persona.
Highly recommended audiobook.
📚 Story Review 📚
Nero is my favorite of the Voss brothers! By far, Nero and Cinder's tale is the best of the series.
This is a dark, gothic, Cinderella-adjacent retelling where you get little glimpses of the well-loved story, but the characters are fleshed out, and the FMC is not some blushing virgin who needs to be saved. I loved how Cinder really didn't need Nero. She was a strong and independent woman without him in her life.
Nero was the obsessed, stalking, red-flag-waving yet still lovable hero we all adore. While he was also a little broken, by far, he was not the worst of the Voss's. He still had the less-than-vanilla sexual proclivities but was not as damaged by his upbringing. When he fell in love, he fell hard.
Midnight Whispers is a fast-burn and spicy MF romance with a MMC who likes to share. Nero and Cinder are well-matched.
While the stories in this series are interconnected, Midnight Whispers can be read as a complete standalone. Cinder and Nero get their HEA.
