Publisher Description

In this follow-up to his 2013 memoir My Life with Deth, Megadeth bassist and co-founder David Ellefson carries on where he left off, charting his mid-2000s departure from Megadeth through his triumphant return in 2010, and offering an inside look at the continuing saga of one of the world’s biggest and most enduring heavy-metal bands.

Co-written with his business partner, Thom Hazaert - a celebrated music-industry figure, radio personality, and music journalist - More Life with Deth chronicles Megadeth’s record-shattering "BIG 4" shows alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax, and the release of their Grammy-winning Dystopia - their highest-charting record in over 25 years - and the massive two-year world tour supporting it.

Far more than your typical rock star tell-all, More Life with Deth also delves deeper into the origins of Megadeth and David’s roots in rural Minnesota, and tells the stories behind the creation of his hugely successful EMP Label Group, Ellefson Coffee Co., and the relaunch of the famed metal label Combat Records, as well as his continued personal journey of spirituality and sobriety.

Told through the words of Ellefson, Hazaert, and friends including Alice Cooper, Brian "Head" Welch (Korn), Kristian Nairn (Game Of Thrones), Mark Tremonti, K.K. Downing (Judas Priest), Brian Slagel (Metal Blade Records), Frank Bello (Anthrax), Jason McMaster (Dangerous Toys), Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth), Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth), Chris Adler (Lamb Of God, Megadeth), Dan Donegan (Disturbed), and many more, More Life With Deth is an insightful and personal look at one of the most revered rock musicians - and preeminent heavy-metal entrepreneurs - of our time.

In reading the book i will buy the audio book too

I am thrilled to hear that this is available for us that enjoy the artist telling their story. This is a great story and so inspiring. Watching from afar has shown me all things are possible. When you start something with the best of intentions sharing it with others is super important. In a industry that needed a beacon of light to guide the way, we have that in Thom, David, and the EMP label family of artists and contributors. They affect my day from it’s start with the coffee, the lovely social media posts they share, and when they come to a town and play for friends and new friends they will make. David’s story and struggle in life helps so many people that i have shared it from part one to part two. I provided it to the local sober griups believing it would inspire someone that cannot make it alone. There is a purpouse for this. David shows us to never believe you are not capable of achieving your dreams. His voice is calming.

Thom, congrats on everything that has happened for you. It is so much that i would be going on forever. ❤️🎶🥳.

Buy this for a friend. Play it while you are cleaning. Learn something special about people that are just like you and me. The dream you have can happen and this right here is the proof. Never give up.

Thank you David and Thom for your contributions to society.
