The best happy ending for Shay
Shayla’s story completely broke my heart from the moment we met her. I knew she was a shell of the woman she once was after her husband’s death, but the depth of her transformation & the circumstances surrounding it were beyond my imagination. But I knew that it was going to take one heck of a man to bring her back to herself & to make her happy. And man oh man was Rowan her absolute perfect match!
Rowan saw an irresistibly quirky & adorable side of her. From the second he laid eyes on her, he was a goner. And when this man gets his mind set, he’s unstoppable. I loved the way he indulged her idiosyncrasies, but also found ways to bring her back to her old self & help let down her guard a little. I loved the way that she was able to let go, as long as she knew she had the proper support…and he was always there to give it.
Rowan’s relationship with Kai was the swoons of every dreamy book boyfriend. The way that Kai idolized him as a hockey player, then completely cherished him as a man who could make his mom happy was so sweet. And the way that Rowan helped Kai grow in his confidence, his abilities, & his overall personality & demeanor just absolutely warmed my heart.
The way that one man could so effortlessly just be himself & yet completely change the lives of two people for the better…that’s the story of Rowan & Shayla.
Audiobook Review:
Stellar, spectacular, magnificent, amazing…let me grab my thesaurus to give you more 🤣. Not only did Teddy Hamilton & Samantha Brentmoor completely own these characters, but to have that duet narration really sets the bar higher.
