Mozart auf der Reise nach Prag

Eine der berühmtesten Erzählungen der deutschen Literatur! Seit seiner Kindheit liebte Mörike insbesondere die Musik Mozarts. Ein bedeutendes Erlebnis war der Besuch von „Don Giovanni“. Diese Oper spielt auch eine zentrale Rolle in der Erzählung „Mozart auf der Reise nach Prag“ – zu ihrer Uraufführung ist Mozart nämlich unterwegs, als er auf ein Schloß kommt und der dort versammelten Gesellschaft Auszüge daraus vorspielt. Mörike verwendete sehr viel Sorgfalt auf diese Erzählung, indem er auf der Grundlage historischer Fakten ein Charakterporträt Mozarts zu zeichnen versuchte und anhand frei erfundener Situationen Mozarts heitere Seite lebendig und anschaulich macht.

Mörike took great care to create an interesting portrait of Mozart informed by historical facts. The purely fictional situations he writes about displays Mozart’s humorous side quite vividly.
