Publisher Description

I made a deal with my brother a long time ago to never date his teammates.

Technically, Rowan Landry, the hot as hell center for the Chicago Falcons, is no longer my brother’s teammate. Or his best friend. Their college days are long behind them, and they barely talk now.

Also, I’m not dating him—we’re just sleeping together. There’s a difference.

Except there’s not a lot of sleeping going on, and neither one of us wants to stop what we’re doing.

It’s all fun and games until my brother is traded to the Falcons, because Rowan doesn’t know I’m the new goalie’s little sister. Oops.

SO good!!

Meet Kyleigh. She is going to a wedding in place of her mother, where she sees Rowan, her brother Connor's best friend. Not in the best frame of mind when it comes to men, she decides that a one night stand with him could be fun. Little did she know where it would all go. Rowan does not want to settle down, and he makes it clear from the start. He doesn't know she is Connor's sister, but regardless, the strong chemistry they share has him wanting to come back for more. The narration is amazing!

Fabulous Story, Narration & Multicast Production🎧 Enthralling & Heartfelt!

This is a fabulous sport romance and start to “The Nest” series, the story grabbed my attention immediately and held it captive the entire time. Kyleigh designs wedding dresses with her mom, making the best dress for their bride to start their happily ever after, like her parents have. Kayleigh was attending a wedding her mother could not. Before going, she saw something that crushed her and changes her perspective on certain things and what she thought was real was just a farce. She attends the wedding, keeping her negativity and thoughts to herself. Kyleigh had a deal with her brother to never date his teammates, but then she sees him, Rowan Landry, a temptation for sure. Rowan should not count since they no longer play on the same team, besides she is not looking to date and is only looking for a hookup, a one-night-stand. Rowan is not looking for a relationship, but he is also tired of puck bunnies and women wanting him for what he does and not who he is, and there is something about this woman he met at the wedding that draws him to her and after a steamy night together he knows that will not be enough. Kyleigh felt the same and agrees to see him again, just as a hookup and nothing more. It was great to watch these two dance around each other with their smoking hot trysts, and the chemistry between them was undeniable and it did not take long for feelings for each other to kick in, though they ignored them. Both had their own baggage and secrets, too, and everything comes crumbling down when her brother gets traded to Rowan’s team, the Chicago Falcons. I loved all the layers of this story and how it all played out, with the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. As always, Piper Rayne’s writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧  And for the fabulous casting of this audiobook, Piper Rayne chose the perfect narrators to bring her character to life, led by Sean Masters and Erin Mallon as the two leads, Rowan and Kyleigh, who delivered a top-notch performance portraying them, giving each a voice that is fitting to their personalities. The support cast performing the roles of the side characters include J.F Harding, Troy Duran, Connor Crais, Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom, who were just as amazing in their roles. The talent of this cast knows no bounds, with voices that complement each other and a performance that elevates this already fantastic story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this exceptional listen.

From The Den to The Nest!

From The Den to The Nest!

I was so excited to dive into Piper Rayne's new series, The Nest. Set in the same Chicago apartment building where some of the Grizzlies lived before finding love (aka The Den), the building has been renamed The Nest as it now is home to a trio of hockey players for The Falcons. Mr. Heartbreaker was a great kickoff to this new series!

I loved the connection between Kyleigh/Leigh and Rowan right from the start. Neither of them are looking for anything serious when they begin a benefits-only relationship, but the more time they spend between the sheets, the more time they want to spend with one another outside of the bedroom. It's not long before their boundaries begin to blur and they become more important to each other than just someone to let off steam with. But neither of them are brave enough to tell the other that their feelings are changing.

Except that Leigh is hiding her true identity from Rowan: Her brother is his former college pal and new teammate. When blow up in the most spectacular way once Kyleigh's lies catch up to her, will this couple be over before they have a real start?

I simultaneously read this book while listening to the audio, and the full cast narration was spectacular. Sean Masters and Erin Mallon lead the charge as Rowan and Kyle, with additional narration by Troy Duran, Teddy Hamilton, JF Harding, Connor Crais, and CJ Bloom. I am really looking forward to getting to know the rest of this group, especially if Tweetie gets his own story!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
