Mr. Heartbreaker

This is a treat to listen to the multicast narration starring Sean Masters and Erin Mallon. The rest are perfect, too. I read the kindle version of this book and the audio adds so much to the story. When Kayleigh sees Rowan Landry at a wedding reception, she thinks she can have a distraction with him to help her forget her bad day. Rowan doesn't want a relationship and thinks Kayleigh will be a one-night stand. Kayleigh knows that Rowan used to play soccer with her brother in college. She hadn't ever met him but just in case Rowan would recognize her name, she shortens it to Leigh. She was warned not to date any of his teammates but Rowan's not her brother's teammate now but she still keeps up her fake name and doesn't tell him who she is. They both start to have feelings for each other. Kayleigh's brother, Conor, is being traded to Chicago and she's going to have to tell Rowan who she is, but Conor finds out before she can tell Rowan. Will this end things between them? Will it cause problems with the team because Conor thinks Rowan has gone against the code of dating a teammate's sister? I like this series already and can't wait for the next book.

You love this filthy mouth, especially when it’s between your legs.

I loved this audiobook! The spice hit hard and fast and didn’t let up. This is not one that can be safely listened to in public unless you have an excellent poker face. I found myself blushing and grinning repeatedly and needing a cool breeze.

Rowan and Kyleigh have instant chemistry. I was so invested in their relationship: their one-night stand to long-term fling to love. The questions of whether Kyleigh would ever come clean, whether their relationship would last the lies, and if they would figure it out in the end kept me hooked. And I loved their HEA.

This is a fast-burn and very spicy MF romance. There is an excellent balance of plot and scorching sex scenes.

The narration team was perfectly matched to their roles. Not only is it recorded in duet style, but side characters were also given their own voice actors. It elevated the listening experience. This book is even better in audio.

Mr. Heartbreaker can be read as a complete standalone. It is the first book in The Nest series.
