Publisher Description
Saki, whose real name was Hector Hugh Munro, was a British writer, whose witty stories satirized the society and culture of his day. He was considered a master of the short story and is often compared to O. Henry and Dorothy Parker.
In "Mrs. Packeltide's Tiger" the title character,a society lady, decides that "bagging a tiger" is the perfect way to trump her rival. She goes on a safari and pays a great deal to lure a very old tiger within range. The results, however, are very different from what she had planned.

Wonderful
Wonderful little story and loved the narrator. Have not been able to find anything else read by her, though. Too bad.
Short but sweet!
Beautifully narrated short story with great pacing. Particularly liked the rather plummy and upper class Mrs P.
