My beloved childhood stories expertly narrated
If you have never experienced the Corfu Trilogy, you are in for a treat. If you expect great things from an audio book based on any of Gerald Durrell’s novels this checks every box. I was lucky enough to have these stories read to me as a child. They have stood the test of time: a spunky widow takes her scrappy young family to Corfu after losing the patriarch. The books tell the story of the family’s healing in Corfu as told through the eyes of a 10 year old boy. Gerald’s description of the natural world around him is refreshing even the 10th time around. The British narration is spot on. I listen to this trilogy while on outdoor walks. There’s no better way to unwind. You won’t be sorry you bought this or any of the books. Welcome to Corfu!
