Publisher Description

Get ready to laugh out loud in the office from New York Times bestselling author Melanie Moreland

My new boss—Alexander Bane

Aptly named since he’s the bane of my existence.

Please isn’t in his vocabulary.

He grunts, growls, and demands.

If only he didn’t look so sexy when doing so.

If only his mouth weren’t so addictive when kissing mine.

He’s quickly becoming my favorite boss.

Which is wrong.

My new assistant is an unwelcomed distraction.

Snarky, witty, always smiling.

Constantly putting me in my place.

Making me second-guess my decisions.

I dislike it. Intensely.

Unless I’m kissing her.

Then Magnolia Myers becomes my favorite person.

Which I hate.

Two people working together, disliking each other.

Until they don’t.

Then the fun begins

HR has never been so entertained.

Author's note: For those on the lookout for a hero who's so charming when he's bossy that it makes you want to follow his orders just to keep him talking.

Magnolia and Mr. Bane - so much to love!

Where to begin with this one? It has everything from witty banter to scenes that just have you laughing until your side hurts as readers meet Alexander Bane and Magnolia Myers. Mr. Bane is that boss that you do not want to work for due to his temperament and has a gift for relieving those assistants that do not meet his expectations. Magnolia is a woman who is looking for a new job and winds up interviewing for Mr. Bane. From their initial meeting, they are like oil and water as she brings the sunshine, and he is a grumpy sour puss. However, Magnolia is not one to back down from a challenge and her work ethic is stellar. Ms. Moreland has a gift for creating her characters that are so lifelike and integrating real life situations into her storylines which pull at the heartstrings and elicit a myriad of emotions. As an ebook, it is unputdownable. As an audiobook, it is Fantastic, and I stayed up all night listening to it as soon as it dropped. John Lane and Maxine Mitchell are two of my go to narrators and they hit it out of the park as they easily morph into these characters taking them to another level. From the vocal inflections to showcasing their quirks and mannerisms, this is one audiobook that should be in your library because you will want to listen to it over and over. I highly recommend this book and audiobook.
