An empowering perspective about cancer!
‘My Guru Cancer’ has been a complete joy to listen to! I truly enjoyed the author’s voice, she embodies her story with magnificent candor and beauty. I was with her through the highs and lows and laughed and cried with her. It is a rare treat to witness the narrator capture the essence of the story in such a vulnerable and real manner. I found this book to be hilarious at times, refreshingly honest and ultimately, vastly liberating to witness Webb find a sense of liberation with her thoughts around cancer and life itself. As someone who is on a cancer journey myself, I truly appreciated her ability to speak her truth and felt myself less alone on my path with cancer. If as a society, we embodied the courageous zest that the author shares here, the world would be a much more equanimous place. I highly recommend listening to this audiobook, you too can shift your thinking around cancer. Whether you are going through cancer or a family member or friend is, this book will inspire!
SUCH a helpful book!
So helpful, so uplifting, so comforting, so inspiring, so normalizing, so reassuring, so joyful, so what I needed. Bethany is a wise and exurberant guide. This book is a true gift.
All the BFEs
This book was wonderfully written and narrated by the author. It was so lovely to hear her take on her own story, and be able to hear exactly how she was feeling in the moment. I do not have cancer, but a lot of her story resonated with me. I have found myself asking myself the inquiry questions in my daily life when an anxious thought creeps in. Everything in this book, including the author, are genuine and relatable. I found myself giggling many times in a book about cancer! Not what I expected. Thank you, Bethany, for sharing your story!
