Publisher Description
Soon to be adapted for TV by Netflix!
Jackie does not like surprises. Chaos is the enemy! The best way to get her successful, busy parents to notice her is to be perfect. The perfect look, the perfect grades—the perfect daughter. And then . . .
Surprise #1: Jackie's family dies in a freak car accident.
Surprise #2: Jackie has to move cross-country to live with the Walters—her new guardians.
Surprise #3: The Walters have twelve sons. (Well, eleven, but Parker acts like a boy anyway.)
Now Jackie must trade in her Type A personality and New York City apartment for a Colorado ranch and all the wild Walter boys who come with it. Jackie is surrounded by the enemy—loud, dirty, annoying boys who have no concept of personal space. Okay, several of the oldest guys are flat-out gorgeous. But still annoying. She's not stuck-up or boring—no matter what they say—but proving it is another matter. How can she fit in and move on when she needs to keep her parents' memory alive by living up to the promise of perfect?

this was a good book for 13-14+
Narrator
I only gave it 3 because on the narrator. I am sorry it was awful. I almost turned it off a couple if times because of it but I love the story.
Awesome
I read the book for they just made a Netflix show based on the book and it left me on cliffhanger. So I decided to purchase the book and wow can I just say how much I love the book way more than the show! I love how it focuses on on Jackie and the feeling of guilt one has when we loose someone we love but still find a way to be happy. Many people think is not right when your happy are we suppose to always live our lives sad from the death of someone we love? I love how she played it safe cause thats how most of life is instead of leaping to the faith of some fun & danger. Shows how much some of us miss it out. I do say after reading the book I hate the show, they change to many things and didn’t really focus on Jackie feelings. Focus on to many side stories this book should of been a movie to be really accurate. I will still be watching though. I will think of them as separate.
