Great narration, poor formatting by publisher
Stephen Fry always knocks it out of the park on narration. The only loss is the poor formatting by the publisher. There are no logical chapter markers (as in, chapter 1: blah blah, chapter 2: blah blah strikes again, etc). There are only innumerable tracks. Want to listen to a part again about Prometheus? Good luck remembering which track it was. Want to follow along in the print version? Which chapter is which track? Unfortunately this is why Audible is still king. This publisher should fix this.
Enchanting Tales
You probably know some of these mythological stories of gods, mortals and immortals already. Some you don’t. They are strange and wondrous and beautiful and disturbing. The biggest issue is the abundance of characters; keeping them all straight proved impossible. Otherwise, an engaging collection of myths and legends.
No odyssey
First, narrator was awesome.
However, book drug on quite a bit and didn’t seem to have much flow. A bunch of short stories that didn’t really connect. Some were certainly interesting but lots weren’t. Good concept but probably could have been fine only half as long.
