Publisher Description
Newlyweds Tricia and Ethan are searching for the house of their dreams. But when they visit the remote manor that once belonged to Dr. Adrienne Hale, a renowned psychiatrist who vanished without a trace four years earlier, a violent winter storm traps them at the estate… with no chance of escape until the blizzard comes to an end. In search of a book to keep her entertained until the snow abates, Tricia happens upon a secret room. One that contains audio transcripts from every single patient Dr. Hale has ever interviewed. As Tricia listens to the cassette tapes, she learns about the terrifying chain of events leading up to Dr. Hale’s mysterious disappearance. Tricia plays the tapes one by one, late into the night. With each one, another shocking piece of the puzzle falls into place, and Dr. Adrienne Hale’s web of lies slowly unravels. And then Tricia reaches the final cassette. The one that reveals the entire horrifying truth.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
The layers of deceit pile up like an epic snowfall in Freida McFadden’s wintry thriller. Newlyweds Tricia and Ethan are on their way to view a potential new home. But when they get there, their realtor is MIA and a blizzard is closing in, forcing them to seek shelter in the empty house. Before long, Tricia discovers a hidden cache of patient records belonging to therapist Dr. Adrienne Hale, whose disappearance made the news a few years ago. The mood is already chilly and sinister as the secrets begin to spill out—not just about Dr. Hale, but about Tricia and Ethan. Between Tricia’s present-day POV and Hale’s voice speaking through her audio recordings from the past, finding the truth is ingeniously tricky. Narrator Leslie Howard’s nuanced delivery hits all the right notes, and she keeps us constantly on edge. Discover the truth—one ominous tape at a time—in Never Lie.

Gripping mystery!!!
Great read, thought I had figured it out but the twist really surprised me. I enjoyed the story beginning to end.
Great to pass time
I listened to this on a long drive and it was great. You won’t see the ending coming. It is psychological for sure.
Eye roll sometimes
If you can stand the main characters hypocrisy, then you should be able to this book. They’ll make judgments about others actions but then when they make the same actions they’ll try to make validations about why. Kind of annoying of the main characters but bear able.
