False Premise
My biggest complaint about the book is that it’s based on what I view are false premises that if a Christian leader takes a stand politically that it necessarily means that 1) the leader is elevating political victory over God and 2) that such a stand would for sure permanently alienate all non believers from coming to Christ. Instead of being afraid to speak up against the growing evils in our society, if done in the right way when a Christian leader takes a stand for truth, people could be persuaded to re-examine their distance from God. In the audiobook Stanley seems to also have a chip on his shoulder that only his view could be accurate.
